Franklin Township Public Schools maintains a database of retired administrators
who would be interested in interim positions as needed. Positions will vary from Vice Principal, Principal to Director vacancies.
An Interim Vice Principal or Interim Principal would be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the school facility and its programs. Duties include: supervision/evaluation of professional & support staff; program development; scheduling; budget development and administration; student intervention & discipline; extracurricular activities, etc.
An Interim Director of a content area would support the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction with the planning, recommendation and effective implementation of curriculum and instruction, program supervision, budget development and the evaluation of instructional staff in the assigned area of responsibility.
Qualifications include: valid Standard NJ Principal Certificate; successful teaching experience in content area for interim director positions;
Successful experience as a district-level administrator or building principal; Possess effective management, problem-solving, organization,
human relations, and written and verbal communication skills. Possess abilities to communicate and work effectively with staff,
students, parents, and other school district constituencies.
